What's more Aussie than that?! With every year Oktoberfest in Australia seems to be getting bigger, better and bierier (Bier: German for beer)!

A pair of strong but supple leather shorts with H shaped braces embroided with a classic deer, metal buckles and rustic style buttons. Every kettle needs a lid! 

You can't head to Oktoberfest in a half complete costume! You need the final touch to bring your whole look together. For men that means socks and Alpine hats and for women that means socks, petticoat and perhaps a garter or classic Edelweiss necklace. 

Lofer-what?!

If you're wearing Lederhosen then you must be wearing knee hi socks. But which one's match and what's the deal with those split socks?! 
We understand, wearing long woollen socks doesn't scream comfort given the October weather in Australia. However you'll look like you're just wearing a pair of odd shorts unless you finish off your Lederhosen with some traditional socks. The most common pair traditional German socks are the Men's knee high socks. These are classic and will suit any pair of Lederhosen.
Loferl socks, however, are a bit more unique. These socks are a fashion statement and a must have for trendy men! Loferl socks are a two piece sock that is an ankle sock with an added 'calf warmer'. These socks are best suited to short (above the knee) lederhosen and to be worn with brogues. How stylish!

For the ladies, the length of your dress also determines which leg wear is appropriate. For traditional knee length Dirndl a pair of white knee high socks or even fancy ones with a lace trim are perfect with a pair of flats, boots or heels with a Mary Jane strap. For shorter Dirndl, the choice is yours as to whether you wear knee high OR thigh high socks. Thigh high socks are much more risque and look fantastic with a garter over the top. 

Create curves and enhance your shape by adding a petticoat under your Dirndl. The blouse of your dirndl will accentuate your bust, the apron will cinch your waist and a petticoat is perfect to flounce out the skirt and finish off your gorgeous hourglass silhouette. 

It's no secret that the shape of the Dirndl and the blouse especially draws attention to the chest. Decorate your decolletage and compliment your Dindl with a gorgeous Oktoberfest necklace with an Edelweiss pendant. 

Got the wobbly legs? 

Ja, you will have so much fun at Oktoberfest getting a piggyback from your little German mate Hans. Take it easy as Hans carries you around from pretzel stand to beer stand. This Piggyback Bavarian Costume is a one piece suit with mock legs which would be the most magnificent sight for 'The Oktoberfest Beer Run' in Sydney.
Another comical costume to stand out from the crowd at Oktoberfest is a literal Beer bottle. Who wouldn't want to see a giant beer bottle dancing around at Oktoberfest?!
